The Detroit Church is an independent Baptist congregation that strives to hold fast the doctrine that was "once delivered" to the saints by the Lord Jesus Christ and His holy apostles. Our worship is according to the simple pattern of the New Testament. We avoid man-made traditions such as church choirs, Sunday schools, boards of trustees, mission boards, seminaries, and holy days to name a few of the many things invented by men without the authority of Holy Scripture. We belong to no super-church organization such as an association or convention of churches. We acknowledge no head but the Lord Jesus Christ and no rule for the faith and practice of the church but the Holy Scriptures.

Be it understood that this website is not an exhaustive statement of the faith of the Detroit Church. This website is intended only as a simplified statement of identification. It states our position on several points of doctrine discussed among Bible readers.
