The Kingdom of God
the Local Church

The Detroit Church believes Jesus Christ is now reigning over all things at the right hand of God. This reign fulfills the covenant promise that God would raise up Christ of the seed of David to sit upon David's throne, which is also the Lord's throne.

We further maintain that the promised kingdom of God was set up at the first coming of Christ and that the kingdom is the local church.

We further hold that the seed of Abraham (the Israel of God, the true Jews) are the children of God regardless of their natural race.

Be it understood that this is not an exhaustive statement of the faith of The Detroit Church. It is intended only as a simplified statement of identification. It states our position on several points of doctrine discussed among Bible readers.
